There were three components to this groupwork assessment.

  1. Group written submission, to include a seminar abstract, statement of contributions to the group task and 10-15 academic references.
  2. Group seminar presentation , to develop capacity to critically evaluate evidence and develop persuasive arguments on a public health issue in which all group members are required to participate.
  3. Peer assessment - an individual assessment item concerning each member's contribution to the group.

Some examples and descriptions were developed before the widespread availability of generative AI tools and may not reflect current approaches to assessment security. When adapting an assessment idea, staff should consider how the design supports authorship, verifies student achievement of learning outcomes, and mitigates inappropriate use of AI and other forms of academic misconduct.
